Making healthier food choices is not easy with the abundance and high availability of processed food like cola, chips and what not. It destroys your organs– For the purpose of taste, shelf life etc, processed  foods use phosphate additivites which are known for causing weakening of bones,  fast aging and deterioration  of other organs.

It causes inflammation – Chronic inflammation  is associated with many diseases like heart diseases,  cancer etc.  Items like vegetable oil,  sugar used in processed food have been found to cause inflammation.

It effects your mood – A new research from Oxford University  suggests a link between processed foods and mood issues like anger and irritability. 

It is rich in….. pesticides and GMOs– To match up the demand,  a lot of pesticides  are used while farming raw items for processed food.  Your morning cereal alone contains 70 different  types of pesticides. Genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) , which are available  in high quantity  in processed food,  have been associated  with infertility, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer etc.

It is addictive – Dopamine is the pleasure neurotransmitter in your body. Processed food are known for overstimulating  the production of Dopamine.

Expensive – A number of studies suggest that whole food is cheaper than processed food.  Enough said. 

It screws your digestion – Processed food ruins your digestion  as it lacks natural vitamins,  fibres and other nutrients.
